Mr. Slim ductless systems are much more effective than room and portable units. Since hot air rises and cold air drops, Mr. Slim units are installed up high and close to the ceiling to distribute the cool dry air at a high level. Cooling from top to bottom instead of from the bottom up provides comfortable, even room temperatures throughout rather than cold feelings from the waist down.

A Size For Every Home

A Mr. Slim Installation will consist of two or more sections, depending on the size and type of home to be air conditioned. The system can usually be installed within 8 hours. Mr. Slim is available in 5 sizes for residential applications. Three systems consist of one indoor section and one outdoor section, connected by refrigeration line and wiring. A larger multi-system utilizes 2 indoor sections and one outdoor section, while the largest installation would utilize three indoor sections plus the one outdoor unit. Indoor units are an attractive off-white colour. The smallest indoor unit is about 32" wide, 14.5" high and 5.5" deep. The larger unit is about 40" wide, 41.5" high and 7" deep.

Heat Pumps

Mitsubishi's three smaller systems are also available as heat pumps and can save the purchaser significant heating dollars. We recommend Mr. Slim heat pumps for homes where the primary heat is provided by electricity.

Mr. Slim residential systems are easy to operate with a wireless remote control. You simply push a button. The unit can be turned on or off in this manner and the operating mode, temperature, and fan speed can be set as well. Mr. Slim air conditioning systems are extremely quiet, both inside and outside, so there's no fear of disturbing the neighbours.

Operation On Humid Days

When the temperature is at a comfortable level but the humidity is too high, the Mr. Slim system may be operated in dry mode. In the dry operating mode, existing room temperature is maintained while humidity is reduced to a comfortable level. Energy consumption is also greatly reduced resulting in lower electric bills.
